When I was a younger aquarium enthusiast, I used to believe that once I put my fish inside the tank and clean it every day, everything will be okay. Somehow after a few days, they end up dying. I was frustrated all the time. My parents gave me the luxury to buy all over again every time my fishes die. I never gave up and kept on researching from the sellers in the pet shop and on the internet. The guys out there were really supportive and even directed me to their supplier. And so here I am sharing to you my experience. I had it in me; I know that I can take care of pets. I do have a dog and three cats. Water tanks are a different topic of course. They need more regulation. Then I found out that I did not have to change all the water inside the tank.
It does not help the inhabitants. It was like changing houses all the time for the fish so they find it hard to adapt quickly. Instead, I should have aquarium filters so there is less cleaning and ‘changing houses’. Next of course, are my aquarium test kits for elemental analysis of the water. Tap water alone will not do or may even be detrimental. I began mixing compounds and dechlorinating. But you skip this trial and error stage and just purchase dosing pumps which can do all the work for you. I learned almost everything from this website and it definitely made me feel comfortable setting up a close-to-real habitat for my pets.
